Terms of Service

1. What bidmylid is
bidmylid is a marketplace that matches brands who want sticker space with laptop owners who rent out zones on their lids. Brands fund campaigns and provide the stickers; owners approve, place, and wear them; we verify, receive, ship, bill, and pay out. By creating an account you agree to these terms.
2. Accounts
You must be 18 or older. Sign-in is by one-time email code; keep access to your inbox secure, since anyone with your email can reach your account. One person, one account. Brand accounts act for the company that owns the email domain they signed up with.
3. If you rent out your lid
- Every placement needs your explicit acceptance. Nothing is ever placed without it.
- Employment verification must be truthful. Verifying with a work email you are not entitled to use, or keeping a tier after leaving the employer that earned it, is grounds for removal and forfeiture of unpaid earnings.
- A placement starts earning when your photo of the placed sticker passes review, and it must stay placed while it earns. Spot checks can ask for a fresh photo.
- You can end any placement early. The zone reopens, your payout is prorated to the day, and the unserved remainder returns to the brand as credit.
4. If you run campaigns
- Declare the campaign category honestly; owners rely on it to block what they will not wear.
- You provide the stickers for now, by mail or SF pickup; we receive, store, and ship them to owners. A managed printing service may come later. Creative must pass our review; we can reject anything that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, deceptive, or that infringes someone else's rights.
- The rate shown at booking is the rate you pay for that placement, for its full term. Your monthly spend never exceeds the budget you set.
5. Money
Fees are charged to brands, never to owners. bidmylid's 10% platform fee is built into the rate a brand pays for each placement; the earnings shown to owners are theirs in full.
Campaigns are prepaid. Launching one charges its full monthly budget, and every zone an owner accepts draws against that funding at the rate it books, so an accepted placement is always backed by money we already hold. Later 30-day cycles for a placement that is still up are funded the same way: from account credit first, then from the card. The 30 days a brand buys begin when the owner's photo passes review.
Ending a campaign releases whatever no owner took. That money, and any unserved part of a cycle that ends early, returns as account credit. Credit is not cash and cannot be withdrawn. It funds future campaigns on bidmylid and nothing else. Zones an owner has already accepted stay paid for, because those stickers are going up and their owners are owed. Owners are paid out monthly through Stripe, pro rata to the day a placement ends.
6. What we can do
We can reject creative, remove placements, adjust tiers when verification turns out to be wrong, and suspend accounts that break these terms or abuse the platform. We will tell you when we do and why.
7. The service, as is
bidmylid is provided as is, without warranties. We are a marketplace, not a party to the underlying advertising relationship. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is capped at the fees we collected from your account in the twelve months before the claim.
8. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; material changes are announced by email before they take effect, and continuing to use bidmylid after that means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
